Christmas Lunch and News from Québec / Beauce

- On December 7, we had our Christmas lunch at the restaurant Academy in Ste-Foy (Quebec).
- For the occasion, we had booked a private room.
- The presence of 63 individuals demonstrates a great interest of our members for this activity.
- In addition to providing a $15 coupon to each of our contributing members, our Club has offered "unlimited" wine to all participants.
- To better impress them, we made a draw of 15 bottles of wine.
- It was a pleasant event and a great opportunity for everyone to socialize with their colleagues.
- It is by far the most popular activity, and many members have promised to return next year.

For 2011, our Club has organized five activities for a total of 207 participations. Currently we are 92 contributing members... should they all renew their membership by December 31.

The five Club's Regional Directors (Laurier Duchesne, André Duhaime, Pierre-Michel Gagnon, Denise Leclerc and Estelle Létourneau) thank our members for their support by participating in our activities and wish them a Merry Christmas.

The "Festival de Lanaudière" - SINATRA : THE GREATEST HITS

- "On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, 62 retirees and guests used the chartered bus or their own transportation to gather at the Festival to hear Michel Comeau sing some of Frank Sinatra's hits. He was accompanied by the Blok Note Big Band, 20 musicians who played music which had been performed by the big bands during the 40's, 50's and 60's. The brass section was exciting. The concert was followed by a delicious meal served at the restaurant La Tradition. A wonderful way to spend a balmy afternoon in delightful surroundings with former colleagues, family and friends."
- Report written by Lise Gagnon.
- Thanks Lise.

Saturday, June 4, 2011 - RBC Annual Golf Tournament.

- See you... next year ...!!!

Spring Outing - Wednesday, May 18, 2011
Casino Lac Leamy / Tulip Festival / ByWard Market

- A total of 164 people registered for this activity, including 4 of the Outaouais region.
- To our knowledge, no one came out of the Casino's "pockets full" ... but surely with a full stomach ...!!!
- Unfortunately, the passengers of two of the three buses were victims of the incompetence of their guide. Bad decisions, initially caused a delay of one hour, which has disrupted the tight schedule of the trip.
- The three coaches found themselves in the same places at the same time, causing undue waiting times, more specifically in the Casino.
- The customer service was disrupted. Following our complaints to the Agency, they has contacted the Casino and got a "compensation" of $ 15 deposited to the credit of each of our group members' "privileges" cards .
- Despite all that, we have received numerous thanks for our effort to make it nevertheless a pleasant day .... and for the unexpected $ 15 ...!!!
- This brief visit to the National Capital will certainly encourage some people to return by themselves to spend much more time. This is also the purpose of our "flash" group visits. A GLANCE... at low cost.
